We had a major first on Saturday night. A historic moment that should be forever etched on my memory.

Nate slept through the night.

Meaning that I didn’t have to go into his room between 9:30 pm and 6:45 am. He woke twice, but went back to sleep on his own with out any fuss. That counts as “through the night”, right? Of course I had to get up at 6:30 to pump before my poor boobies exploded!

So far it has been a one time occurrence, but in general he seems to be doing better. Out of the last 6 nights we have only had one night that I would consider “bad” and even it didn’t involve any real fussing, just frequent waking.

I’m sure that you’re all so sick of hearing about my little man’s changing sleep patterns by now that you’re about ready to give up me, but I’m sure most Mom’s out there can sympathize with the fact that sleep is a central issue of life with a 5 1/2 month old! So bear with me!

I went out for brunch and was invited to my sister’s in-laws’ for dinner and just didn’t feel like a smoothie as a bedtime snack. But I was back on track today. And it’s going to stay that way. Really. It is!
